ReadyNAS 104 + Virgin Media SuperHub 2 problems

Hi, im running a ReadyNAS 104 with Plex installed, which is connected to my Virgin Media SuperHub 2 router, this works great except that everyday my internet download speed with reduce from the usual 60mbps to around 5mbps or less, and the only way to fix this seems to be factory resetting the router. Does anybody know why this might be happening? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

    Re-booting the router doesn't work?

Next time it happens, try disconnecting the RN104 ethernet cable, and see if the speed issue disappears.

nope a soft reboot does not resolve the issue, i normally have to factory reset the router 2 or 3 times before regular speeds return and then the problem can come back anywhere between 5 minutes and a day later, i did just try unplugging the cable from the router and the issue was the same, still very slow download speeds.

I don't think its the NAS.  It's far more likely that your router is dying.

Maybe try living w/o the NAS for a couple days, and see if the problem happens when it is disconnected.
