ReadyNAS 104 stuck in Boot from USB

Hello, hoping someone can help me with this. My ReadyNAS 104 has been stuck in a Boot from USB failed! loop after a firmware update via web-management. I have followed the steps for the USB recovery...

I tried creating the Recovery USB with the windows app, as well as manually, still in the loop.

The only thing I did manage to get is, if I put in the USB stick without firmware on it (just the recovery files), after a while, the NAS goes into a mode where it says DEBUG:TELNET and shows me an IP address. But I wouldn't know what to do from there.

Anyone have any ideas, now that I manage to reach the debug:telnet state?

    It sounds like the backup button may be stuck, so it's always trying to do a USB recovery.
