ReadyNAS stuck on 'Booting 0%'
Hi,
My ReadyNas Ultra6 is stuck at 0% ben it boots.
I have to do an OS Reinstall to be able to boot it. It works everytime but I know it's not meant to be done at each boot ...
I've seen another close thread but mine doesn't seem to have its root full:

OS is the last one available: 6.6.1.I ve tried deactivating apps/addons.
I ve run most most of the tests available (except balancing, I'll try that tonight but I don't think its meant to solve my problem).
What do you think could be the source of the problem ?

Ok, silly question but would you know lead lead as how i could investigate this ?Il already check var/logs but it didn't contain much. I don't really know where else to check.
SandsharkI've checked a couple of time and it doesn't seem to move.
But something must happen because now it's not random anymore: it stays up 2 days at most before freezing and needing a reboot :(
What really bugs me is that an OS Reinstall allows it to boot ... but then next boot it doesn't work again. what could change so quickly that prevent the NAS from booting properly after an OS Reinstall ?

dev/md0 is only at 56%. so that's not it (at least at that point). Does that amount increase as time goes on?
Did you turn off antivirus? It's caused all kinds of issues on 6.6.1. I haven't seen anyone else post that it caused a failure to boot, but who knows.
If the problem just started when you went from 6.5.x to 6.6.x and you have installed anytihng via SSH that you cannot disable via the Apps page, maybe it's an old program that's not compatible with Debian Jessie and it's changing something in the OS configuration files.
Sorry, I missed some key elements:
- On top of the boot freezing, the NAS itselft freeze from time to time (that was what lead to the booting problem so big point missing, again,sorry :( )
- These issues began in 6.5.X. I upgraded to 6.6 hoping that would solve the problem
- Antivrus was deactivated before, due to the issues you are mentionning.
OK, but does /dev/md0 (the OS partition) get more and more full as time goes on? 56% is a bit high, but should have enough space. But if something keeps putting more and more in it, that could cause lock-ups and boot issues.
