ReadyNAS 104 System volume root's usage is 100% unable to start SSH
Hello,my ReadyNAS 104 system (firmware 6.5.0) has begun throwing an error message in the logs that report "Volume: System volume root's usage is 100%. This condition should not occur in normal conditions. Contact technical support". The first entry in the log is July 5th, 2016. No other entries for low disk space in the system volume were present, so whatever is using the space filled it up fairly quickly.
Based on other similar cases I read about in the community, I tried to enable SSH so that I could examine the volume, however the admin site throws the message "Unable to start or modify service. Code 15002030001"
Is there another way to clear files from the system volume or to enable SSH?
Thanks!

Do you recall which services you were running?
Also which apps do you have installed?

Thanks for the reply mdgm. Yes, from the admin site, the services that are running are: AFP, ReadyDLNA, RSync, UPnP, HTTP and HTTPS. I tried to disable some of these also, but receive the same "unable to start or modify service" message.
The only app that is installed is Plex Media Server (v 0.9.12.8.1362). It shows as "off". I tried to remove it, but the log reported "System: Cannot uninstall application Plex Media Server."

If you can't enable SSH access due to the volume issue, it would require Netgear support to access the NAS in a low level debug mode. They should be able to deal with this problem that way.
Did you try to reach out to them?
