ReadyNAS 1100 - shutdown through Web UI ,than the Power Timer cannot Power it On
Hi All,
We have an old ReadyNAS 1100 Model: RNR4450 and I am trying to make the best use of it .
So my question/problem is that if I shutdown the storage through the Web UI using the "Shutdown and turn off device." option then on the next day the device will not start/Power ON as configured per the "Power Timer" settings . So I had to have a person walk-in and start the device from the button.
Now, is there a way to Shutdown the device the same way the "Power Timer" will do it so that when the next day the "Power On" time comes the NAS would wake up as expected.
I have ssh access to the device through an Add-On so if I know the command the "Power Timer" executes on "Power OFF" then I can use it instead of the Web UI option .
Here are the Shutdown option given by the cli :
~# shutdown ?
Usage: shutdown [-akrhfnc] [-t secs] time [warning message]
-a: use /etc/shutdown.allow
-k: don't really shutdown, only warn.
-r: reboot after shutdown.
-h: halt after shutdown.
-f: do a 'fast' reboot (skip fsck).
-F: Force fsck on reboot.
-n: do not go through "init" but go down real fast.
-c: cancel a running shutdown.
-t secs: delay between warning and kill signal.
** the "time" argument is mandatory! (try "now") **

Dii

Thnaks a lot for the help .
That post had the solution.
Using :
/frontview/bin/autopoweroff &> /dev/null
Will Turn Off the device so that the "Power Timer" can power it ON at the next scheduled time.

Dii
