ReadyNAS 202 all lights are solid
I woke up this morning to my trusty old RN202 'off' the network. Searched, could not pull it up, drive mappings were not working. I power cycled the box by unplugging it for a minute (the standard power button reset a few times was not working), and it powered back up and showed up on the network.
While I was messing with files it again dropped off the network. When it does this, the ACTIVITY, DRIVE1, DRIVE1, and BACKUP lights all go solid blue.
Under normal operation, the DRIVE1 and DRIVE2 lights are solid blue, and the ACTIVITY light blinks as reading/writing occur. The backup light is never lit up, as I do not use the backup capabilities.
I can reset it and it will function normally for 5-15 minutes, but will then go all solid LEDs again and be unaccessible until I reset the entire box. Any idea what is going on?
I am on the latest Firmware 6.10.6 and all health checks pass.

Unfortunately, it sounds like something internal to NAS is overheating, very possibly in one of the voltage regulation circuits. If that is it, it's not normally repairable since no schematics are available to better troubleshoot.
Have you tried using the other Ethernet connection (from the start, not switching after it stops communicating)? It doesn't really sound like that's the issue, but you can try it. The Ethernet controllers on some of the early OS6 ARM units have been known to have overheating issues.

Appreciate the reply and I will give that a go. I've never used the secondary ethernet jack - so at the very least it will help me get the 5TB of data off this old box and allow me to yank the drives and drop them into the new box on have on order.
After researching this for a day straight and resetting it multiple multiple times, I figured either I had a transistor going bad, or something overheating on the main controller, which as you stated is generally not fixable. This is old enough and has been a good little box - it was high time for an upgrade.
