Nighthawk MS60 solid white light

My satellite has suddenly stopped working. It was working fine for a while until now. It will not connect to the router and cannot be reset. The light is constantly solid white when plugged in. Tried resetting multiple times and nothing changed. I fully reset the router (MR60) and nothing has fixed the issue
  • I could not find any solution, I tried many things, but I ended up having to purchase a new one. I believe this was hardware issue instead of a software one. I'm almost certain the satellite bricked after a sudden loss of power.

By resetting do you mean the reset "pinhole" in the back?

No luck with the Sync button?

Have you tried moving the MS60 nearer to the MR60?

Is is just one satellite? Or do you have others?

Is it wired to the MR60 or on a WiFi link?

That's not in the usual repertoire. Are you sure it isn't blue? They can be confusing.

Yeah i tried resetting using the pinhole on the back. I tried moving it closer and wiring it into the router but no luck. This is the only satellite i have and it’s just solid white, it does not blink or anything, as soon as the power goes in it becomes solid white.

I also tried updating the firmware on the website by plugging it into my computer. However there was not an option for the satellite and i could only see an option for the router
  • I have the same problem, but the solution suggested above doesn't work - the satellite that is stuck with the sold white LED shows "disconnected" on the main router webpage so it is not possible to do firmware update that way.  Resets (via pin at back), power cycle doesn't change anything.  The white LED is solid, comes on as soon as the box is powered up, then nothing else happens, no network connectivity, the ethernet port on the device is dead (no connection).

  • Thank you for the reply - yes, I also bought a new (actually refurbished) satellite and added that - now I have the other problem that there is no way to remove the dead-satellite from the system so I have to live with a red / disconnected satellite in the network map and constantly see 4/5 satellites connected rather than 4/4

Can try removing the disconnected MS from the MRs web page using a web browser...
