When you turn the NAS on what lights come on on the display?

ok when i turn it on it will go through a boot of sorts
Blue Flashing
eithernet 1 disk 2
eithernet 2 then act
then fans slow down
then both eathernet and steady blue
this happenes with or with out hadd in place i have also tried the dicks from my other 2100
when i go into boot mode
ie press reset whilest turning on i goto any mode
factery reset for one
i hold the reset down till all hdd lights on
i press backup to disk 2 or 3 press reset again
and then thats where it stays it will do nothing execpt sit their
i was told to try a usb recovery
was told to press and hold resert for 15 sec i did all disk leds on then nout nothing happens i have tried 3 usb drives two scandisk and anoher uknown
when i do this two of the usb had indercators on them and i can see to start acitivaty then nothing
it was fully working untill i did a os install then it froze and now its bricked ie it will not go pasted the boot sequence i hope tgis helps
you asked me to put into test mode it haung on that too

I was going to suggest USB Boot Recovery next.
The 2100 has a backup button on it so you probably have to press that to do USB Boot Recovery. Our current rackmount models don't have a backup button.- Press and hold backup button
- Press power button briefly to turn NAS on
- Continue holding backup button.
It could be longer than 15 seconds that you need to press the backup button in. There's no harm in holding it longer than necessary. If you don't hold it in long enough it won't do the USB Boot Recovery.
