ReadyNAS 2100 will not boot
Hi. Our ReadyNas 2100 is not accessible on the network after bootup. We followed the process to reinstall the OS as per the instructions in the following link https://kb.netgear.com/24872/How-do-I-a...

Does it respond to ping?
Did you try using RAIDar to check the status? https://kb.netgear.com/20684/ReadyNAS-Downloads
- hystenOct 23, 2017AspirantHi. No it does jot respond to ping, albeit the NIC cards both light and blink. RAIDar does not find it in the network.
Thanks.- StephenBOct 23, 2017Guru - Experienced User
Ok. Try powering down, then remove the disks (labeling by slot). Then power up again, and see if RAIDar finds it. It should discover it, and report a "no disks" status. Replace the disks with the NAS powered down.
This will tell you if the issue is with the disks or the chassis.
- hystenOct 23, 2017AspirantThanks. I will try as suggested.
Could it be the operating system is corrupted? I tried to access the boot menu to reinstall the OS but it didn't work as per instructions from the Netgear support site.
