ReadyNAS 2120-Replaced Disk Showing status Unknown

Marvell version: v2011.12 2014_T2.0p1
Netgear version: 09/08/2015 ReadyNAS-2120 v2.0

 

All the volume showing inactive "Remove Inactive Volumes to use the disk Disk1,3,4", As Suggest by netgear chat support, I have repalced faulty disk on channel 1 but its showing stauts Unknown .

I am not able to access my folders.and need backup of all data.please suggest

  • It does not sound to me like you had a bad drive on channel 1.  Perhaps on channel 2.  But replacing a drive alone doesn't usually solve the "Remove Inactive Volumes" issue.  Are you sure you weren't supposed to re-contact support once you had made the swap so they can do the next step?

     

    Please start from the top with what your configuration was when it worked, what happened to make it not work, and what you did in response.
