Hi rwhitley,
Welcome to the community! :)
The password recovery tool is only an option if ever you have enabled password recovery. The password recovery tool is only for the ReadyNAS administrator.
Kindly read the articles below:
How do I recover a lost administrator password on my ReadyNAS OS 6 storage system?
How do I recover a lost or forgotten administrator password on my ReadyNAS OS 6?

I am not trying to recover the Admin password. I have several users on the NAS and would like for them to be able to change their own passwords. I have set them up with a default password and they can access the NAS just fine. However, when they try to change their password the NAS does not recognize the ID. I found the thread that talked about useing this location to change passwords: https://<nas ip>/password_recovery/my_password.html. That is where the ID is not recognized. If this is only for the admin id, how does a user manage their password on the NAS.

It works on my systems running OS6.7.5 and 6.8.0. This is the KB article about it, BTW: How-do-I-change-the-password-of-my-ReadyNAS-user-account-on-my-ReadyNAS-OS-6-storage-system. Your users do understand that their user name is case sensitive and this is only for local users, not ReadyCloud ones, correct? Do you have HTTPS enabled under System/Settings?

My bad. :( I apologize for that.
When you have created a new user account, did you set an e-mail address for each new user? If yes, the user should be able to receive a "welcome e-mail" indicating the login and the initial password you have set and there is a link on the e-mail that the user can click to change the user password. Kindly check if the user(s) were able to receive a "welcome e-mail" then let the user(s) click to the link to change the user password.

This also requires that you have access to a POP server and have configured the NAS to use it. I did fail to mention that all my systems are Intel based, so maybe this is a bug unique to ARM.
