ReadyNAS NV+ Not Recognized on Network

My ReadyNas is not recognized by any devices on my wireless network. Here are the facts:

  • It is listed on my network map on my router's utility page.
  • My ReadyNAS is plugged directly into my router using an ethernet cable.
  • RAIDar cannot find it.
  • It is not listed as being in my network when I try to map a drive.
  • The Netgear/ReadyNAS multicolored icon shows up sporadically in my Windows Explorer listed under Network Locations, and from there I can browse the folders on the ReadyNAS.
  • When I try to login to my ReadyNAS using a browser and the ReadyNAS IP address (192.168.1.128), I get a login prompt, but after I successfully login, all I see is a Netgear page titled "My Shares" telling me "No shares currently accessible."
  • Don't know the ReadyNAS firmware version, but I'm pretty certain that it was set to automatically update.
  • Windows 10.

Any help would be appreciated. Lots of home movies, pictures, and music are on there.

Thank you.

It's odd that it doesn't show in RAIDar, though.

Can you connect the PC via ethernet, and see if the behavior changes?

You should be going to https://192.168.1.128/admin.  It's odd that it doesn't show in RAIDar, though.  Maybe you are runing a version too old for Win10?

I'll try that. Do I need to power the ReadyNAS down first, or can I just unplug the ethernet cable from the router without shutting it down?

I tried going to https://... but the behavior is the same. I'll try updating my version of RAIDar to see what that does.

UPDATE: I'm a slight idiot. I forgot about adding "admin" to the end of the IP address. When I did use "admin," I was able to get into Frontview. And once that happened, I was able to detect the ReadyNAS on my network, and map folders as network drives.

However, RAIDar still does not detect it. I'm using RAIDar 4.3.8
