ReadyNAS 312 to ReadyNAS 424 backup using rsync fills up destination storage

The source has approx. 800GB of storage (out of a total of 2TB) and doesn't change by much in total size from day to day.

I am using the the backup capability of rsync over ssh builtin to the ReadyNAS312.  Its firmware version is 6.9.0.  All snapshots are off on both sides.  The destination is a ReadyNAS 424 and its firmware version is 6.9.0.  There are 20 shares on each with the same names with backup jobs sending to its corresponding share.  The jobs run one after another in succession on a daily basis and the schedule is wide open from 00:05 to 23:05.  Also, the results for each share are always a success.

Can anyone offer any suggestions as to why the destination keeps filling up after several days?

Are the backup jobs set to delete files in the destination that are no longer on the source?
