Checking for updates didn't do anything for me. So I had to download and then upload myself. At first got an error message then the upload worked. Was able to move up to 6.8 and get the new SMB options. Applied the Enhance MacOS and now we're testing to see if it will make a difference. I appreciate all of the support from everyone. Thank god for this community. Have a great weekend everyone.

Thanks a bunch for doing that. It seems to work faster at first, but then it slows right back down. I'm not sure what's going on. :( Maybe its something about how we have our network hooked up. I do appreciate your help, though.

Was this issue ever resolved? I am using 6.6.1 and in the past few months accessing just a directory on the NAS can take 30 or 40 seconds. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated. I'm using SMB to connect, but when I use AFP it's about the same.

KristenM13 can you send in your logs (see the Sending Logs link in my sig)?
Blues11 there is a backend settings change we can try which should help with SMB.

I have not yet upgraded to 6.7. I'm still on 6.6.1. Is this backend code included in 6.7?
Thanks.
