ReadyNAS 314 Power On Options

Good Morning Everyone,

I am a proud owner of a RN314 and really enjoy the convience it provides to me and my family. One question I have is regarding power on options. Every time I connect the power or a power on event from a power outage the NAS powers on without any interaction.

What I would like to configure is after power off, never power back on unless I actually push the power button. Is this configurable within the BIOS (not that I would know how to access the BIOS)?

Any suggestions are most welcome.

Cheers and have a good day,

John

There is no way to change the BIOS settings.

One workaround you might consider is to get a UPS with a USB monitoring port.  The NAS normally will always see power then, and therefore it won't automatically power on.   It will also do a clean shutdown when power is lost (and the battery runs out).
