The PSU is definitely a possibility. Another thing that can cause that behavior is a bad fan. If the NAS does not detect the fan spinning, it will shut down. I don't remember if it's far enough in the start-up process to put an entry in the log, but I think it's not. Most other failures I'm familiar with cause it to fail to boot but don't shut it down.

Yes connected to a UPS (APC 1500 Smart UPS) which as far as I can tell is healthy.
Fan definitely started spinning up so if it is a fan issue it’s not a complete failure. I’ve had no fan speed warnings.
