hi,,
thankyou all for the reply it helped. but from the time i have changed the ip address of my readynas transfer speed has decreased.
i have a cisco 3560 switch on which my new readynas is connected along with 2 more nas. I recently changed my ip address of my nas and connected it to the appropriate port. but i don't know why copy speed to the nas is very slow... over the nas on the same switch. it just goes in kb/s. Please if any one can give me some suggestion kindly do ...

If your network is IPv4, then disable IPv6 on the NAS.
Have you looked at the switch stats?
