ReadyNAS 4220X Replaced drive in X-Raid is not becoming part of "data" Volume (not Blue - Black )
I think I make a mistake by turning off the Device and removing the drive while it was OFF. Anyway, the "replacement drive" is not being seen as a part of the "data volume" and the unit is saying "Degraded". The unit has 7 4-TB WD SATA Drives, and Drive #6 is the drive that is "Black" and not "Blue". I am using OS 6.4.1. I am at 90.58% in a "Scrubbing" and have downloaded OS 6.10.3 to do an Update when I can.
Questions:
How can I fix this?
Will updating the OS to 6.10.3 help or hurt at this point?
Should I "Format" the Drive?
I am at a loss as to where to go from here.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

It is best to replace a drive with power on, but it normally does work properly with power off. A scrub done from the GUI (or on schedule by it) does both a BTRFS scrub and a MDADM re-sync, and MDADM cannot initiate a sync of a new drive when the re-sync is in progress. So, wait till the scrub is complete and see if anything happens. If it doesn't, you can try formatting the drive or removing and replacing it with power on.
