ReadyNAS Duo / RAIDiator 4.1.16 [1.00a043]

Hi,

My Netgear ReadyNAS is not working with Windows 10 - unless I enable the SMBv1 protocol in Windows10. My employer has disabled this option by default. Now internet is full of warnings that this protocol is obsolete and we should move to SMBv2 and/or SMBv3.

Is it possible to enable SMBv2 and/or SMBv3 on my NAS ?? (and if so how ;-) ?)

Greetings Maarten

    No., it only supports SMBv1

Netgear could release a firmware update I guess, but the project would be difficult because the underlying linux OS is so old.  I don't think they will do that.

If you can't enable SMBv1 or switch to another protocol e.g. NFS, then at this point it'd be time to get a new ReadyNAS. The Duo v1 was replaced in our lineup over 6 years ago now.

The RAID format on new units is different so you can't simply move the disks across.
