Under Airport's "Network options" one can set the IPv4 DCHP range and it can only be 10.0 or 172.16 or 192.168 plus whatever else you choose for the third and fourth values as the range. It was set to 10.0 and I changed it to 192.168 as I thought that would work better with the NAS with a default, it seems, of 192.168.168.168.
