ReadyNas Duo just sort of died...
Hi, purchased this (Netgear RND2000 v2 ReadyNAS Duo from eBuyer) NAS last week and set it up without much issue. It's ran ok since, every now and then dropping off connection via its name on my window...

If you purchased new, then you are entitled to 90 phone support.
However, the warranty is not transferable, so if you purchased it used, there is none.
Remote Access (e.g., ReadyNAS Remote) wouldn't be used for NFS or SAMBA sharing, though of course the errors could be a sign of something more basic is broken. Did you set up a ReadyNAS remote account?
One pretty safe option is to try an OS reinstall from the boot menu. That will reset the admin password, and the IP stack to use DHCP, but should preserve all other settings and your data. The hardware manual has the details (http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/ ... Mar-12.pdf). Also, its always a good idea to look at the disk SMART stats if there is something odd going on.
