ReadyNAS Duo owner - what media player should I buy?
Dear ReadyNAS community members,
I have a ReadyNAS Duo for some years now and I consider buying a media player like Xtreamer Sidewinder 4.
I would mainly like to play video stored on the NAS.
Does anyone have experience with this device?
Does it work well with a ReadyNAS Duo?
Any other recommendations?
Many thanks!
Cheers,
Yves

- NhellieVirtuosoI believe it should work fine using ReadyDLNA. Most that I see here are using smart TVs like Sony Bravia, PS3s.

It also supports SMB, which eliminates a lot of potential headaches between DLNA Client/Server.Nhellie wrote: I believe it should work fine using ReadyDLNA. Most that I see here are using smart TVs like Sony Bravia, PS3s.
The main thing with all these devices is whether it plays the content you already have, or if you will need to transcode it. One nice thing about this platform is that since it is Android-based it gives you a lot of options on player apps. - SwengapAspirantThanks a lot for your answers. It's a go then!
Best wishes,
