If a duo v1 meets your needs now, then he place to start [within the Netgear family] is the RN102. At the moment you can get for about $200 in the US. It has pretty much the full capabilities of the duo, plus additional features (antivirus protection for instance). And it is a lot faster than the duo. The only issue is that the OS6 platform is still rough around the edges.
An ultra-2 or pro-2 is worth considering if you can find them at a good price. They are not going-forward platforms. But their features and UI are already very familiar to you, and they will outperform the RN102. None of the new OS6 features though.
Avoid the duo v2, as it is end-of-life and has no benefits over the RN102 - only drawbacks. It also is very different from the duo v1.
