OK, inserted the original disks. ( i had wanted to save them in case something bad happened) that fixed the 5 blinks, now the blue power button pulsates twice and then turns off. while act blinks every second or so and both the disk leds are off.
I can't see the device on radiator yet.it seems to be fixed now..thanks :)
