ReadyNAS DUO speeds are horribly slow...
I've kind of lived with it for a couple of years now. I've done all of the performance tweaks suggested from the sticky in this section... but here's what i'm saying. I copy a 2 GB file over from a...
(1) what firmware are you running on the NAS?
RAIDiator 4.1.12 [1.00a043]
(2) are you using jumbo frames?
Yes, they are enabled.
(3) Have you tested both read speed and write speeds to the NAS?
I had not previously, but just did a quick test.
Copied a 2.5 GB file from the NAS to my computer: 25 MB/s
Copied the same file back to the NAS: 3.8 MB/s
(4) Have you tried testing using direct connect?
How do I do this? What should i connect to? Both machines right now are connected to the same switch.
