FWIW, calling this a "Duo" will create some confusion, since the Duo (and Duo v2) were specific two-bay models. The RN212 isn't a Duo.

Hotfix 1 is supposed to fix the issue you are having ( a login loop when you try to access the NAS web ui).
Were you logged out when you "got in briefly"? Is it possible that your issue is actually resolved now?
What browser are you using?

The login didn't fix the problem but it is fixed. I unplugged the unit again. Was able to login immediately after it booted up which seemed to make it more responsive. I immediately told it to restart hoping that it would complete whatever it was trying to do. That worked! Thank you. This is resolved.
