Readynas Duo V1 - can't use at all
Hoping someone can give me some ideas on how to go about fixing up the NAS.
Have been trying various things but problems only seem to get worse.
I have a home setup and use as a central store. There are 2 x 2Tb disks and have only installed basics like a couple of users and access to the media shares. Have always had intermittent trouble contacting the NAS, trouble with passwords on the share but I tried to upgrade to 4.1.12 and since then there appear to be numerous problems.
. When I could connect over the network it won't accept passwords (for a while I could see through frontview and was resetting the password)
. Can't now connect to the media shares although believe I left them as public.
. Noticed one of the users was 'using' 65535 Mb.
. Streaming services all disappeared in frontview?
. Allocated another user and set up limits but still could not log in.
. Have tried to factory default via frontview and using the buttons on the NAS but still sits there in the same state although it appears to go through the process.
. Checked a thread on "Duo V1 no access" in this forum and was interested in using ssh method mentioned there as I have some basic knowledge on Linux but before I could do that I downloaded 4.1.10 as it will not use the 'auto check' for an upgrade. Done this as it was mentioned there may be a problem with PHP? Before I could get to that Frontview stopped working and, now getting 'system error - contact support?".
Have tried but as you can now see I am totally confused and need help, NAS has been out of service for about 3 months and although it isn't used for industry I do want to use it for other purposes but have been finding it near impossible to keep on top of the problems.
Thanks for any help.

- de_niroGuidelooks like the rootfs is full and some configuration files are gone, can you please contact NETGEAR support center to fix this issue?
- smtoff_1AspirantThanks, did try at one time to get support but was asked for the serial number etc so gave up in frustration. Bought this a while ago and forgot to register. Will persevere but because I can't now get in to Frontview will have to check the unit and any old packaging unless there is another way? Frustrating thing is I can hear the disks working away!
