ReadyNAS Duo V1 - Help Needed - Remote\Cloud Access & Applications
Hi all, I Am Hoping (praying) someone can help me. I recently purchased what I thought was a second hand ReadyNAS DUO V2 (upgradable to newer 6.5 firmware) unit off eBay. My assumptions we're bas...
One limitation is that this NAS can't handle disks > 2 TB.

These aren't fast and have limited memory, so don't overdo the add-ons.
Also, the last firmware update was a few years back, and no security patches have been applied since them. Personally I don't recommend exposing this NAS to the internet.

ReadyCloud only is available for OS-6 NAS (not 4.1). Getting a router with OpenVPN is the safest way to get remote access.

Note that the Duo v1 (runs 4.1.x) and Duo v2 (runs 5.3.x) are both EOL. Neither of those runs OS6.
