Via network map in the router web interface I see only ONE IP (that of Shares page - however, when accessing it, I get the message "The shared resources currently are not available"), but the IP for FrontView (which I somehow assigned as fixed about five years ago - and I don't remember how!) is now gone.
You should only see one IP address there.
Try https://nas-ip-address/admin in your browser, using the ip address you see in the router. There will be a security warrning you need to click through (with Chrome, click on "advanced" on the warning page).
You should then get a user/password pop-up. The user is "admin", the password is "netgear1" That should take you through the rest of the NAS setup.
The best way to get a consistent IP address is to reserve one in the router - leaving the NAS IP configuration set to "automatic". Any old static address you set before on the NAS was wiped out by the factory reset.

Ah, thank you dear StephenB, what a **bleep**head I am!!! :-(
So https://nas-ip-address/admin is a FrontView link, while https://nas-ip-address/shares is Shares... Shares still won't function properly, but who gives a damn now that FrontView was re-born for me?
OK, what kind of prayer do you prefer to be pronounced by me in your honor? :-) "Our Father, who art in heaven..."?
