ReadyNAS Duo V2 - Few Questions

1) Not many add-ons available yet. With the beta firmware you only need to enable FTP and have ReadyNAS Remote installed to use it. I agree the section should be updated to include more ARM add-ons.
2) AFP is the Apple Filing Protocol. In a mixed environment a number decide to use CIFS on both Mac and PC but it's really up to personal preference and what works for you.
3) It's imitating a Time Capsule. When you setup Time Machine you assign a quota e.g. 500GB. Then up to 500GB can be used by Time Machine. You can still use the ReadyNAS to store other data. In fact if 100GB is used by Time Machine you could fill the rest with other data (though if there's no free space TM backups aren't going to work).
