Hi everyone. Thanks for your replies.
I've been through the tutorials on the readynas site and non of the screenshots match. For example. When installing the remote client you don't get the option to register a user. you have to do this via the nas and send an invite email. Again nothing matches the examples given
I've been to https://remote.readynas.com and logged in but all that allows me to do is rest my password and change my name the delete account option doesn't work. Selecting that just throws you to the login screen.
I changed my nas name from nas-xx-xx-xx to an easier name to remember but I've noticed remote still displays its default name, ie nas-xx-xx-xx. Like I say, connect on my home network remote works ok. I tried connecting my MacBook running lion via my mobile broadband so I could access from outside my network and remote logs in but I can't do anything else.
I might have to return the product if I can't access from outside as there is very little point in having it.
Thanks again everyone.
