a reset brings everything back to the original factory install. You end up with a totally rebuilt raid array (empty) and the out-of-the-box configuration. Default admin password, no user accounts, no add-ons, default shares.
Before you do a reset, try running RAIDar, and see what status it reports.
I would also try an OS reinstall first, which preserves data and most settings. The admin password is reset (to "password" on a duo v2), and the IP configuration reverts to DHCP.
Before you do anything, review this guide, and confirm that you have a v2. The labels are misleading. http://www.rnasguide.com/2012/01/09/how ... -or-nv-v2/
Then review the boot menu in the appropriate hardware manual (google "nv+ hardware manual" site:readynas.com, and download the appropriate pdf for your NAS).
