ReadyNAS Duo v2 can not download and download files

Connected ReadyNAS v2 DUO 2000 microcode 5.3.13 with a wire through Ethernet to Asus RT-AC66U, the computer is connected via Wi-Fi, installed Windows 10. The computer can not copy and download files, only can play video. Why is that?

  • Likely the problem is because the PC doesn't have the SMB 1.0/CIFs client installed.

Go into "turn windows features on or off", and if it is disabled, then reinstall it.

SMB 1.0 has some long-standing security issues, and Microsoft has begun to deprecate it.  However, it's the only version of SMB that your legacy duo supports.

Early rejoiced. Enabled SMB but did not appear Duo. Maybe something else to include?

What happens when you enter \\nas-ip-address in the Windows file explorer address bar? (use the real NAS ip address of course).

Also, are you able to reach the admin web ui ( https://nas-ip-address in your browser's address bar )
