ReadyNas Duo V2 DNLA Subtitle files showing as media
Running the DNLA server through my TV shows Subtitle files (.SRT) as playable media. TV tries to play them but cops out after a minute or two.
Is there a way to stop them showing up?
TV is LG if this is any help.

- howskAspirantI only have a Duo V1, but if it's anything like, did you change the content type to 'Video' on the ReadyDLNA config page, or is it still on the 'All' setting? If it's on All, then change to Video and perform a Rescan.

But I want music and pictures to work too. - howskAspirantThat's fine, just set them up as additional shares with their own content type.

Ok so that works, but now I have a problem arising from this. I have to create a separate share for music, photos and videos. This means the NAS drive creates three separate sub folders which I have to
map individually in windows. - howskAspirantDifficult to suggest exactly what you should do. I have separate physical shares on my NAS for Movies, Pictures and Music, and therefore multiple drive mappings in Windows, but you should also be able to use a single 'media' share with sub folders for Music, Pictures and Videos.
In the ReadyDLNA config, just add the media share 3 times, and ensure the correct folder (use the browse button and expand the folder structure) is selected together with the correct content type. This way you can keep a single drive mapping to the media share in Windows. - brewster0101AspirantThanks for your input. After playing around with shares , the server seem to refresh and no longer shows the sub titles on my TV.... If the problem reoccurs I will do separate shares as you've suggested.
Thanks :D
