Yes he suggested it was probably a v1, just checking that he might have followed the guidance you posted on this.
It seemed that for some reason, despite the fact that there should have been a factory default process, there hadn't been. Are you suggesting that there is a difference between factory default by inserting blank disks and one done using the boot menu?
I thought that if the unit had actually done a factory default he should have lost its network settings ( it would have reverted to dhcp), it didn't seem that it had. This led me to believe that the password would not have been reset either.
