ReadyNAS FTP service hangs
I'm having issues with the FTP service on my ReadyNAS box. After a period of time the server refuses logins/connections. I try to stop the service and I receive an error. However, if I restart the service it successfully restarts and everything works fine for a month or two. Does anybody know of any issues with this service? I have upgraded the firmware as of last week to the latest version. This has been an ongoing problem for the past year or 2.

- iConeAspirantNever understood the need for the OS reinstall but went along with it, what will a factory reset do if the FTP have always given me trouble. The only need for the FTP is when transferring compressed backups from my Linux servers to free up disk and that only happens on demand.
The NAS is my backup device and off course have backups of my backup but don't believe this issue is worth all the trouble of starting all over. - SlaskyAspirantA factory reset does wonders to strange issues. Had a buffering problem when streaming to my PS3 a while back on my Duo, resulting in error msgs about my disk being full at 61% used capacity. So you might resolve the issue with a factory reset
