ReadyNAS model comparison between home and business line products
I have an x86 ReadyNAS Pro 2 which I'll need to replace sooner or later. What are the main differences between the 2-bay consumer line models of the 200 series and the RN31200 models of the business ...

Note I don't work for Netgear; this is my own comparison.
The RN202 and RN212 use arm processors, and the RN312 uses an x86 processor. The apps on http://apps.readynas.com/ all support both platforms. However, third party apps might not support both, and if you install packages manually you'll likely find more packages for x86 linux.
The RN212 advertises 1080p real-time transcoding with plex, the RN202 and the RN312 both support real-time transcoding but do not spec the performance at 1080p.
The RN2xx platforms are limited to 8 TB iSCSI LUNs, the RN3xx is not. The RN3xx has some performance graphs in the web UI that aren't shown on the arm platforms. These differences shouldn't matter to most users. File sharing performance of the RN2xx is quite close to the RN3xx, so that really isn't a factor either.
Business units ReadyNAS 300/500/700, rackmount and ReadyDATA offer free lifetime CHAT support; the free support for RN2xx is limited to 90 days. After that you either need a support contract or pay for per-incident support.
