Hello,
Full of disks, 4x 2TB Seagate Barracuda F3 (64MB cache).. nice eco green disks (really low power)
Model: ST2000DL003 | Specs: http://www.seagate.com/files/staticfiles/support/docs/manual/desktop/Barracuda%20Green/100649225c.pdf #Page 11
I got a little frustrated; wanted to watch some of my media - so I held the reset PIN for 5 seconds on power-up.. performed an OS Re-install.
The OS re-install worked perfectly; it now reboots perfectly.. admin password reset to factory defaults, plug-ins and updates need re-installing. but my Users and Shares (more importantly the data) is still on the NAS!
Consider this matter resolved (sledge hammer, meet NUT).
