Was the 1TB disk used at all by a PC before being put in the NAS? If so, this could be causing issues.
Before putting a disk in the NAS it's best to delete the partitions on it. The NAS needs to format a disk.
It still would be a good idea to check the health of the disks as dbott67 suggested.
