ReadyNas NV 1+ Hard Drive Compatability
I have an NV 1+ aka RND4000 V1 and I need to replace 2 of my drives. Most if not all of the drives on the Compatability List are no longer available due their age. I need 2G capacity. Are the WD Red series drives appropriate? Any other recommendations, please.
Netgear Level 3 Support's diagnosis of my NV 1+ determined that both drives 1 and 2 have issues and need to be replaced. Driives 3 and 4 appear intact. They instructed me to clone drive 1. Yes I do have a backup.
I am aware of the 2TB limit.
Thanks for your input and please feel free to add any additional comments.

Why do two of your disks need replacing? Do you have a backup?
The maximum capacity disks that will work in that NAS are 2TB ones.
The WD 2TB REDs are a good disk, though they are not on the compatibility list: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20641
