thanks for the prompt reply.
I've tried dragging and dropping just using explorer to my pc ( aswell as command prompt copy) and that's what causes the device to drop out. I also ssh'd into the nv and tried to copy (CP) from there, but i got the same dropping out result.
I'll try and use teracopy and see if that helps.
