Thank you for the reply, much appreciated. Just realized what it was.... and yes, it was an IP issue. I forgot I had called into Comcast the night before because I was having bandwidth issues. They said they sent commands to my router. What I didn't realize or check at the time was the fact that they reset the router and my configuartion, moving the local space back to 10.0.0.x subnet. I had previously configured mine to work on 192.168.10.x. Everything else on the LAN refreshed via DHCP and just grabbed a new 10. address so I couldn't figure it out. I plugged directly into the NAS from a local laptop with the old space and reset it to the new space to get everything working again. Thanks for your response. Oversharing in case anyone else can benefit from the same overlook here. :)
