ReadyNAS NV, iTunes and Apple TV2
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to host my iTunes library on my ReadyNAS and stream movies and music to my Apple TV? What I want to do, is access all my tracks and movies without having my Macs...

You are using the iTunes on your PC as the server, even though you have the iTunes library on your NAS. I'm guessing that what you are trying to do and what I've tried to do is to serve the video files from your NAS so that you can switch your PC off.
To do this you have to use the Firefly iTunes Add-On on your NAS. The Firefly Add-On will serve the iTunes files on your NAS to other devices on your network which are running iTunes. This will allow you to see your iTunes files on your Apple TV - but unfortunately only the mp3 or LossLess files.
I am trying to achieve the same as you and I would suggest the route to take is Plex. Install the Plex media server Add-On on your NAS and use that to distribute your files. If you jail break your ATV you can install the Plex client. Problem sorted.
Personally, I'm waiting for the IOS 5 release and/or the next ATV firmware update etc as the rumours suggest that Apple might introduce an App Store for the ATV. As soon as that happens I'm sure Plex Client for the ATV will be made available.
Keep in touch and let me know how it goes.
