iPhone 7 ReadyNAS iTunes

I just upgraded from iphone 5S  to iphone 7.

For years I've had itunes media & photos have both

been pointing to my ReadyNAS  RN212.

with the 5S  itunes would update, delete, add

any Music or Photo that I've adjusted on the ReadyNAS.

BUT.. Today, it will load my music pefect, but NOT my photos.

I've tried connecting direct to my mac with a cable with wifi OFF

and with only wifi.

Any ideas ???

  • I FIXED IT..

I first tried resetting the permissions, but that didn't work.

    ..

I Deleted the Shared Folder & Re-created it + contents + the SAME permissions.

    ..

  • I've tried so many things trying to get it to work..  I've reset my ReadyNAS Pictures share. ( it's set for Everyone, Owner, Group, all read/write)  File access is the same.

I've rebooted the ReadyNAS,  My iphone,  & my mac.

I did a test and selected a test folder on my Macbook Pro.. itunes worked fine then, but that does not help my ReadyNAS.

Note:  before my new iphone 7 two days ago itunes pulled PERFECTLY from my pictures folder on my ReadyNAS.

    .

I tried to rig something.. I thought I'd just let the Macbook have a copy of my Pictures ReadyNAS share

and I'd have ReadyNAS  Backup & sync with the Macbook prol

BUT..  I'm unable to have the share sync with a macbook root folder for some reason.

      Hello joe_wht,

Can you try resetting the permissions of the share where the photos are?

Not really sure what's with the iPhone 7's iTunes but I do hope that someone here in the community that is also using iPhone 7 can share something.

      Regards,

I did that.. no help at all.

Actually,  after I posted this problem, I remembered that when I turned my Macbook Pro ON, preparing to add my New iPhone 7 to itunes..  an  iTunes update popped up--- so I did that before connecting my iPhone 7.

--- SO.. I'm betting that is the problem, considering I never had any problems with my  iPhone 5S, 4, 3...
