ReadyNAS NV, iTunes and Apple TV2
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to host my iTunes library on my ReadyNAS and stream movies and music to my Apple TV? What I want to do, is access all my tracks and movies without having my Macs turned on and pull the feed from my ReadyNAS which is always running.
Is this possible and if so, can something explain in simple steps how to get it working?
Many thanks
Phil

- aguayoAspirantI actually mapped the NAS media directory and then pointed iTunes to it. I did not setup a share.
What I copied to the NAS were strictly the actual media files. Initially, during this setup, they number about 150 files but eventually will be well over 3,000 files hence the need for a NAS.
Aguayo - PBCAspirantDoesn't sound too different to how I did it; I followed - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1449 and then copied the files by dragging and dropping onto iTunes; don't know if that makes a difference or not
Phil - aguayoAspirantTks for the feedback Phil, I beleive the problem maybe in "how" I'm putting the files into the library.
Am going through the process now very slowly to ensure everything loads correctly and no faults in iTunes before proceeding to the next load. iTunes maybe just picky about how one loads the files.
Tks again .....
