ReadyNAS NV+ RND4000 Capacity
hi to you all I want to upgrade my ram module to 1gb is this possible on this model ReadyNAS nv+2 4x 3tb from factory is 256mb installed on the nas can I upgrade the nas ????

Is the ram module upgradable in solder form I know this is possible but support the nas the change to a higher ram module ?

Netgear doesn't support memory upgrades on this NAS. I'm not sure how much memory the NV+ v2 would accept (assuming you could safely upgrade it).

Sorry it wasn't a better answer for you.
The NV+ v2 is end-of-life, and there are newer OS-6 NAS that do have memory slots. Netgear still doesn't support upgrades, but some people do them anyway.

You would need to get an x86 ReadyNAS to be able to upgrade RAM. New x86 units e.g. RN312 (and up in desktop) come with at least 2GB RAM (some e.g. RN526X come with more than 2GB). 2GB is 8x what your NV+ has.
