ReadyNAS NV+ seen in RAIDar but can't browse or enter setup

Disks are almost new and those listed in the tested hardware list. The NAS itself is not very old. I bought it to use as a file dlna server for my music system. There are no jobs lined up since I don't use it to backup my device. At present the disks are about 20% loaded with data. RAIDar shows the disks as doing fine.
Does doing a factory reset help in similar cases which you might have seen earlier ? How is the factory reset done from the front panel without using the frontview?
