ReadyNAS NV upgrade to ReadyNAS NV+
My ReadyNAS NV power supply has failed (3rd time). I just ordered a newer ReadyNAS NV+. ReadyNAS support told me I will be able to take the drives out of the older NV box and put them in the NV+ box. ...

Dear mdgm,
I made the transition yesterday. I had problems with the disk tray but the article solved it. My biggest problem was removing the 4 screws. It was a killer. I ended up putting on a rubbler glove used for gardening to protect my hand and get traction to undo the screws. :-)
I also updated the firmware with no problem once I got to the nasdrive. The Raidar tool is hit and miss finding the resource. However, i can get there directly with ipaddress/admin.
I want to thank you for answering my questions. I really appreciate it.
I have onl one other issue and that is with mapping the drive. I'll start a new post for that.
