ReadyNAS NV+ v1 stuck on boot process - no SSH
Hi at all, I've been using an NV+ v1 for years. Yesterday, I tried to download log files, the NAS crashed and stucks now on boots process ("Booting..."). Sometimes it won't shutdown, why I had to...

Hi, thanks for the reply. I already skipped the FS check, this ended with a disk 4 sync message - and with a hangup again. I never head HD problems and there were no messages regarding it... After the NAS attempted to resync and stucked again, I head to plug off. The very next booting ended with a hangup again like before...

You might try powering down the NAS and testing the disks in a Windows PC with vendor tools (dashboard for WDC, Seatools for Seagate). Label the disks as you remove them, so you can put them back in their proper slots. Windows won't show the disks in file manager, since it doesn't recognize the format. But the vendor tools should be able to find and test them.
- DroogieFeb 12, 2024TutorYesterday I did, I scanned disk 3 as reference and disk 4 which the NAS tried to sync. Disk 3 passed about five hours later with no errors, but when I tried to scan disk 4, WD Dashboard aborted after a few seconds and gave up with error code 7.
Seems that disk 4 is actually broken, right?
I just wonder why it happened when I tried to download the log files...
What would you recommend?

Seems that disk 4 is actually broken, right?Yes. But maybe not the only one, so you should also test disk 1 and 2.
What firmware are you running on the NAS?
- DroogieFeb 13, 2024TutorHi, I now tested all disks, they seem so be ok. I also scanned the 4th again, still error 7. I'm thinking about buying a disk and replacing it. Do you see any chance? I guess my NV+ will hangup again (the curious log file download thing)...
