ReadyNAS NV+ v2 - won't boot with more than 1 disk in
Hi there I recently wanted to erase all disks and start a fresh with my ReadyNAS unit. It's been great for 12+ years and worked flawlessly. After erasing all disks the unit refused to boot. ...

Try powering down and moving the disk to slot 2. Power up, and see if it boots. Repeat with slot 3 and slot 4.
That was successful in 2 and 4. Although when in slot 3 the error message was “disk 1 failed”
- To clarify, it actually says disk 1 failed when moving disk one to any of the other slots.

- Yes I did power down each time.
Each time with disk 1 in slots 2, 3 & 4 it booted up ok and had an ip address.
